Protective Insurance Agency is a family-owned business. The company was founded in 1994 by Jon Museus. Jon became very successful in the insurance world due to his witty and cheery personality. He was an easy going, fun loving guy and that personality really resonated with his customers. Jon enjoyed working with his daughters ,whom he trained to sell insurance while they attended school. In 2003, Jon was killed in a motorcycle accident, leaving the business to his wife, Jan. The knowledge their daughters had learned combined with Jan’s business expertise, allowed the company to continue on and grow into what it is today.

Using the same customer-service philosophy as Jon, Protective Insurance Agency has grown to become one of the largest insurance agencies in Cache County. Jon’s family continues to run the insurance agency and continually strives to make customers and co-workers feel like family. The agency’s focus is to provide high levels of customer satisfaction while tailoring policies to fit its customer’s needs. We provide business, home, auto, health, employees benefits, and life insurance.

Protective Insurance Agency’s services have expanded to several other states: Arizona, California, Idaho, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Washington, and Wyoming. Our agents are ready to use their years of professional expertise to make your life a little easier—and a little safer.

Jan enjoys talking to all of our clients, many of whom have been with Protective Insurance Agency since it opened. Outside of working Jan loves to cook and travel.

With over 20 years of experience in life and health insurance at Protective, Josh has helped countless clients find plans that fit their needs and give them peace of mind.

Ashley Museus

Commercial Agent

Ashley grew up in the insurance business. She has been working with Protective Insurance for 20+ years and loves it. When she is not working, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband and two boys.

Commercial, Health, and Life Agent

Alex became an agent in 2007 after working as a CSR for several years. She loves that the insurance industry is constantly changing because it means she gets to come to work and learn new things.

Finance Account Manager

Lauren has been in the insurance industry since 2007. She enjoys making sure things run smoothly at the agency and helping out wherever needed. She loves being a mother and spending time in the outdoors.

Commercial Agent & Account Manager

Jen has been with our company since 2013. She loves finding solutions for complicated insurance risks. The best part of her job is providing peace of mind for our commercial clients.

Bonnie Blue

Personal Lines Agent

Bonnie has been with our agency since 2015. She provides outstanding customer service to our clients and is committed to provide the best options for their insurance needs. Her 5 children, son-in-law, and new grand-baby are her passions in life and she loves spending time with them!

Angela Sialaris

Personal Lines Agent and Customer Service Representative

Angela has been with the company since 2018. She loves working with the clients and assisting our Personal Lines Agents. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and three dogs and playing in her garden.

Shantell Webster

Customer Service Representative

Shantell has been with our company since 2018. She is dedicated in assisting our clients navigate the difficult claims process. Shantell works directly with our insurance companies to make sure you always have someone in your corner.

Mikaela Finlinson

Receptionist & Billing Specialist

Mikaela has been our receptionist since 2020. She enjoys greeting clients at the front desk. She takes on any billing issues and makes it her goal to get them resolved efficiently. When not at work, Mikaela loves being outdoors working on house projects with her husband and playing with her dog.

Diane Halligan

Diane has years of insurance experience and she enjoys trying to find customers the best rate with the best coverage to fit their individual needs.

Just a friendly reminder we are putting together a golf tournament fundraiser in memory of Jon Museus, our founder. All proceeds will be donated to OPTIONS for Independence, a local nonprofit organization. OPTIONS has an immediate need for a storage building on their premises and we would like to help them raise enough funds to help build it! They currently have their equipment (hospital beds, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) offsite at a location that does not have power so they cannot easily test equipment to make sure it is working properly before lending it to folks in need.We are reaching out to see if you want to be a part of this exciting event. We are looking for golf foursomes, raffle prizes and donations. We really appreciate you and hope you can join us in this great cause.
